RACE: The Roman Army and Chariot Experience resumes its performances at the Jerash hippodrome

The hippodrome in Jerash will again resound with the clash of Roman legionaries engaging in battle tactics, horses' hoofs as they compete in chariot races, and the cheers of the audience as they support their favourite gladiators.

The Romans are back!

The internationally acclaimed RACE shows start again on Thursday, February 1 at 11.00. The performance includes some forty fully equipped Roman legionaries showing the use of their weapons, battle tactics and drills. Eight ferocious gladiators, fighting in pairs, will then stir the audience who decide the fate of the loser with thumbs up or down. Three two-horse chariots race before the spectators in the third segment of the programme. Photo opportunities with the re-enactment company are given at the parade after the show.

Performances will be held twice daily at 11.00 and 14.00 Saturdays to Thursday (except Tuesdays). Fridays there will be one show only at 11.00.

Heartily welcome, to watch the biggest Roman re-enactment show in the world!
